Contaminated Water
Specialty diving such as diving in contaminated water takes special training and special diving gear. At MAKO, we make sure to follow the strictest standards, to make sure we do the job safely without further contamination to divers, crew or areas we are working in.
Salvage & Recovery
Whatever you sink, we can salvage. MAKO has salvaged everything from outboard motors to 100+ foot long barges. Whether it is a vehicle involved in an accident, insurance issue, accidental sinking, storm damage, we have the proper gear to salvage your equipment.
ROV Services
MAKO Diving maintains a ROV service and we are able to use these for specific searches where the complexity of the underwater is not clear. At times due to obstructions, currents, depths or many other reasons, it may not be safe to put divers in the water. For these reasons, as well as many others, MAKO can call on our ROV section to work autonomously from or in conjunction with our dive crews.
Marine Construction & Infrastructure
MAKO Diving is involved in underwater construction projects, from repairing infrastructure like pile repairs to new construction like wharf expansions, we can do it all. We work on wood, steel and concrete structures. We are able to complete projects that involve everything from welding and cutting steel, removing old wooden structures, forming and pouring concrete and fastening new structures to existing.
Inspections & Surveys
MAKO Diving conducts many inspections and surveys, from ocean-going vessels to wharfs, to bridges, to infrastructure such as water and sewer lines. If it is underwater, we have the expertise to carry out these operations.
Light Underwater Operations
At MAKO, we offer light underwater construction and operations such as wheel jobs (rope in propellers), repairs to steering gear, moorings and dock anchoring. We can find your mobile devices, your outboard motor, your missing anchor, or anything else you may have lost.
Scientific Diving
MAKO partners with many scientific agencies and work on projects such as removing ghost gear from our waterways, installing artificial reef fields, studies on micro-plastics, invasive species in our waterways, ocean-health and tons more. Our partners include many first nations communities, University of New Brunswick, Huntsman Marine Science Center and Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
